Apple Developing Tablet PC?

"Apple Handwriting Recognition team is seeking an engineer who will be responsible for advancing gesture and handwriting recognition on Mac OS X. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the area of pattern recognition, with an excellent understanding of handwriting recognition issues."
I was searching job openings on Apple's website, and came across this position. With the flurry of recent news regarding Apple's patents for a touchscreen interface scheme, this further supports rumors that Apple is developing either a Tablet PC, or a touchscreen iPod. Perhaps this is Apple's counter to Microsoft's Portable Media Center?
