"Samsung will be introducing their new YP-Z5 flash-based audio player at the 2006 CES convention in Las Vegas this week. The YP-Z5 will be available in both 2GB and 4GB capacities, and will feature a 1.8" LCD display, MP3 and WMA audio playback, JPEG photo viewing, DNSe Digital Natural Sound Engine 3D audio processing, and a 38-hour Li-ion battery. The YP-Z5 is expected to launch in the first half of 2006."

That is one sexy looking model. And the Flash player doesn't look too bad either.

My only disappointment is that it doesn't offer more storage capacity. I would prefer it be hard drive based instead of flash memory, but Samsung is clearly targeting the nano market with this product. I think it will do well if priced right. With Samsung nipping at nano's heals, and Creative gunning for the 30GB iPod, 2006 may be a tougher year for Apple.
