Canon Launches New Camera Lineup

"The Canon EOS 5D digital SLR is the company's latest addition to its high-end digital camera line. Capable of pictures at a resolution of 12.8 megapixel, the $3,299 camera will also be able to shoot up to 3 frames per second; record up to 60 full-resolution JPEGs and 17 RAW images in a single burst."
Canon on Monday refreshed its lineup of digital cameras, ranging from the basic point-and-shoot camera to a professional digital camera capable of 12.8-megapixel resolution. The new models will be available in September and October, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The new cameras include the point-and-shoot 5MP SD450 and the 7MP SD550, the professional 12.8MP EOS 5D, the colorful 5MP SD30, the 7MP high-end addition to Canon's entry-level digital camera lineup A620 and the 8MP S80 PowerShot.
