"NXT is a company whose business is "the invention, patenting, licensing and marketing of enabling technologies in sound and touch." For the purposes of this article, I'll focus in on the "sound" part, but I must say I am quite interested in learning a bit more about the "touch". The company has a wide variety of technologies in their patent and technology portfolio, but for now we're going to focus in on their SoundVu offering."

I've heard about this technology, but it's the first review I've read of a product that has implemented it. The results are generally positive, though it would have been interesting to "hear" the results via video or audio. Reviewing audio components is difficult though, because the results are often subjective. Personally, I'd love to see this type of technology in all notebooks if it's not heavier or more battery-draining. Although I normally hook up my laptop to external speakers if I'm interested in listening to music, there are times (such as travelling and watching DVDs) when it would be nice to have fuller audio without needing external speakers.
