The Sony Qualia 001 Wonder Box

"Sony introduces a new wonder box in its high end Qualia line. The Qualia 001 Q001-CB01 (Creation Box) converts lower resolution video sources into HD image resolution. Advanced signal processors convert video with a resolution of 720 x 480 dots to 1,920 x 1,080 dots. Not sure how great the resulting image will be, but at the a price of 500,000 yen (~$5,000) it should do wonders. The Qualia 001 also supports zooming into video images with up to 9x."
You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's a good thing I don't live in Japan - I'd spend every penny I had on cool gadgets and live in a cardboard box on the street. :lol: Zooming pixels, and pixel interpolation, tends to be messy - but perhaps this product does it better than anything I've seen thus far?
