"Pinnacle Systems has added 802.11g Wi-Fi support to its ShowCenter product, a set-top device that facilitates the streaming of multimedia files from a network-connected computer to a television or home entertainment system. ShowCenter, a consumer looking device, searches your PC for all video, audio or photo media files, and then organises them by category, giving you a complete overview of all media files on your computer. You can then playback these multimedia files on a larger screen using an infared remote control. Building on the original ShowCenter, the new model lets you connect your PC via either 100Mbit/s Ethernet, 802.11b or 802.11g Wi-Fi (original model only supported Ethernet and 802.11b). Connection option include S-Video, component video, composite video, audio out (L/R for two pairs of speakers), digital audio out and a Type II PC Card slot for a Wi-Fi card."
