Canon EOS 20D?

"There have been some suggestions of an August 20th release date for a new Canon DSLR. I think these may be based on the fact that the original press release for the Digital Rebel was August 20th 2003 ... The rumor mill is now churning out some credible reports that my suspicions may be right. The likelyhood of an 8MP sensor has gone up from maybe 50/50 to "quite likely", I'd say there's now a 80% probability that sensor in the new DSLR will be 8MP and have a 1.6x crop factor. Makes perfect sense to me."
The rumours appear to have stabilized now to reveal a Canon EOS 20D that will set you back about $1600 and will have an EF-S lens. The new model should also have a 1.6x sensor, not 1.3x, because of the required compatibility with EF-S lenses. I guess we will know real soon now.
