Today seems to be "CPU Day" on DMT, but I think it's important to keep up on the developments in the mobile CPU world, because these are the engines that burn at the heart of our mobile editing devices.

"AMD has launched two new powerful 64-bit low-power mobile processors for notebook computers. The new Athlon 64 processor models 2800+ and 2700+ offer a powerful 32-bit computing environment with seamless transition to 64-bit applications. Both processors offer an Enhanced Virus Protection security feature that will be enabled by soon-to-be Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2."

64-bit processing power that's battery friendly, allowing for thin and light notebooks such as the Ferarri notebook from Acer? Bring it on! 8)
