Digital Home Thoughts: More Information on the HP Slate Shown at CES 2010

If this doesn't qualify as a teaser, I don't know what does - the video is a bit over 5 minutes long, but there's a frustrating lack of information about the HP Slate, a device we've talked about before. Date? 2010 is the only commitment. Screen size? Looks like nine or ten inches. Specs? Nothing is known. It looks reasonably thin, though not shockingly so - I fully expect the Apple slate device being announced tomorrow to be much thinner...but keep in mind that the Apple slate device is rumoured to be running the iPhone/iPod Touch operating system, not the OS X you find on Macbooks. There's a huge difference between the requirements of a full desktop OS and a mobile OS, so it's not a fair comparison - though I'm sure the comparison will get made anyway. 2010 is certainly shaping up to be the year of the slate computer, that's for sure!
