"I’m pretty impressed with the unit so far given the constraints of the 1.2GHz VIA processor chip and the size of the box. Battery life is a reasonable 3 to 4 hours depending on brightness settings alone. We still have to see what it will be under WiFi load, etc. What I particularly appreciate in the Ruvo Avox is the absolute silence of the unit. The chip doesn't need any extra cooling through fans and it is quite comfortable to have on your lap or in your hands for an extended period of time. I’ll tell you what: the “wife” factor is very high! She loves the Avox (keyboard is purrfect for her...)"

This has features of two devices that I love. It has the basic form factor and touch screen of the Nokia n800/n810 (see my video review coming soon) but in a larger package more around the size of the Asus Eee (which I recently picked up). Unfortunately, it also picked up my one nit-pick with both devices, an 800x480 resolution. Not that it exactly bad, in fact on the N800, it is amazing on a pocketable device at that pricepoint. But this is around $1000, so I expect a little more. In fact, you could buy the Nokia and the Asus and have plenty of cash left in your pocket over what this device goes for and I don't see much more that this gives you.
