Slysoft Switching to Euro Pricing

"In order to guarantee future software development, SlySoft will change its pricing from U.S. dollars 1:1 to the Euro effective January 1, 2008. The resulting price increase is absolutely justified according to SlySoft CEO Giancarlo Bettini: "The largest cost factor facing a software company is programming. All our developers are already paid in Euro and have been for years. In order to maintain our software at the latest level well into the future and at the same time be able to provide our customers with free updates and free support, a switch to the Euro was simply a logical consequence." "

Things continue to get ugly for the US dollar: this step by Slysoft means that software that will cost you $49 USD today (regular price, without a coupon) will cost you a whopping $73.75 USD (49 Euros bought in USD at a rate of 0.6644) when they make this change. I can't say that I blame Slysoft - businesses tied to the US dollar have to do something to compensate for the plunge in value of the greenback. At the moment, since I'm being paid almost entirely in US dollars, I'm trying to figure out what the something is as well. ;-)

At any rate, AnyDVD remains an absolutely killer product, and because lifetime upgrades are free, this is a great opportunity to purchase it before the price spikes. AnyDVD is definitely one of those products I recommend to anyone who wants to easily remove copyright protection on commercial DVDs in order to rip them, edit the content, etc.

To further sweeten the deal, using the coupon code christmas will get you 20% off the current price of $49 USD. The coupon applies to other products as well, including the equally superb CloneDVD Mobile (which, when combined with AnyDVD, makes for the most intuitive and simple DVD ripping system out there today).
