Corbis Pros vs. IStockphoto Amateurs

If you purchase stock photography, you would do well to check out the comparison. Based on the article, both offer quality content, but Corbis costs 30x the amount. The main difference I noted (but it might have just been the photos Wired selected) was that many of the iStockphoto pictures were on plain white backgrounds (which might be a good thing depending on what you were going to use it for) while the Corbis photos tended to have more detailed backgrounds.
