The RIAA Can't Read

"Apple's offer to license Fairplay to other technology companies is a welcome breakthrough and would be a real victory for fans, artists and labels. There have been many services seeking a license to the Apple DRM. This would enable the interoperability that we have been urging for a very long time."

Apparently the RIAA spinsters can't read, or think that if they bark loudly enough, people will completely ignore Steve Jobs and listen to them instead. Jobs never offered to license Fairplay to other technology companies, in fact, he reinforced Apple's stance not to. Frankly, I agree with him. How can anyone, particularly anyone actually in the recording industry, still want to be associated with the RIAA after their bullying legal tactics, and absolutely asinine statements such as this?
