If you're looking for a good all-around video editing and converting package, Movavi looks like a good bet - it's normally priced at $99 USD, but is now $49 USD until December 25th. I use Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 myself, but in many instances it's overkill - something like this, a series of small, focused tools - would probably do the trick in many instances. Worth a look!
UPDATE: $49 is the price for the business version, the personal version is only $30 after the 50% discount.
