Sony Pushes Back Some Blu-ray Titles, Cancels Others

"Sony has delayed some of its titles originally scheduled for a June 20th release. "Last Waltz" and "Knight's Tale" will be moved back to July 25th. "Legends of the Fall," "Kung Fu Hustle," "Black Hawk Down," "Sense and Sensibility," "The Big Hit" and "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" have been removed from Sony's press site altogether. We are not sure why they have delayed these titles or why they were removed. Sony was not available for comment."

Boy, Blu-ray even rhymes with Delay. C'mon, Sony, just call your new disc the 'next-gen gaming disc' and forget about movies, OK? You're just not getting anywhere with this Blu-ray movie business. You might make up all those R&D costs if they pull out of the movie industry altogether and concentrate on getting your console to market. Sony, you're fighting a war on two fronts here and losing both: vs. Xbox who beat you to the market by a year; and vs. HD-DVD which also beat you to market (and people actually want).
