Special Effects in Fan Films

Why am I posting a link to a video that some kids in high school made? Because it demonstrates how far digital video special effects have come. The software used to create effects such as this has become amazingly affordable - EffectsLab software allows the user to create particle effects, muzzle flashes, neon light (see photos below), optics effects, and composite filters. And all for about $100 USD! It makes me long to be a kid with a camcorder again. :D
