"Akimbo is a subscription service offering video downloads, mostly of TV shows. Once you subscrible you can download the content and watch it from within Media Center. Most of the content is free although there are some "premium" shows available and there's also content from MLB.com that requires a separate subscription. I'm pretty impressed with the service and I've found at least one show that I'd like to watch on a channel that isn't included in my cable package. I found the application easy to navigate and it was easy to download new shows."

Looks like the market is starting to open up for down-loadable video content. This new service is basically an Internet based video on demand. There is a free trial, so if you are a MCE user, you might want to check it out.
