"If you can rip music, movies, video, or photos to a hard drive, then you can play them on the Mobile Digital Media System offered in GM's new line of crossover sport vans: the Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, and Saturn Relay. The hard drive consists of a 40GB cartridge (80GB is available) that plugs into a multifaceted overhead rail system, which is also home to a DVD player, a 7-inch LCD (that's too small), and various climate controls. When the sun goes down, you can even store your sunglasses here."

While I can appreciate the effort, I think this sort of device is too complicated for the average car buyer. Forcing them to remove the hard drive and dock it with their home computer in order to transfer new content is just too much effort. A wireless solution would be far easier to use and more easily accepted. Learn from Apple: make it simple.
