"Nikon Canada Inc. announces the new COOLPIX S3, one of its new "S series" of COOLPIX cameras. Hot on the heels of the exceptionally popular COOLPIX S1 and S2, the COOLPIX S3 is slim, elegant and ultra-portable. Its 6.0 effective megapixels give you greater shooting performance, and it's loaded with innovative functions to improve images in-camera. This is digital photography at its easiest and most convenient."

There are no less than five cameras that Nikon Canada announced today. The Coolpix P1 and P2 give 8.0 and 5.1 effective megapixels respectively, where the resolution is more than adequate for beautiful enlargements, as well as giving you plenty of room for creative cropping. The P1 and P2 give even greater creative and compositional freedom with 3.5x zoom capability provided by a 36-126mm Zoom-Nikkor lens.

The easy to use Nikon L1 (6.2 MP) works well with its 5x optical zooming and range of advanced features to improve images in-camera. It has a powerful 38-190mm Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent) and a specially designed CCD delivers higher performance.

And, of course, there are the S3 and S4. The Coolpix S3 is slim, elegant and ultra-portable. Its 6.0 effective megapixels give you greater shooting performance, and it's loaded with innovative functions to improve images in-camera. The S4, an ultra-portable camera, has a powerful, swivel-mounted 10x Zoom-Nikkor lens. Its outstanding 38-380mm lens puts the Coolpix S4 at the head of its class for creative and compositional versatility.
