iriver Introduces New "T" Family of Music Players

"iriver, the leading innovator in digital entertainment, today announced the unveiling of its T family of PlaysForSure-verified flash-memory music devices. The players support Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) 10, making them the first flash devices to support portable subscription-based music services, such as Rhapsody To GoŽ, Napster To Go and Yahoo! Music Unlimited, providing customers with instant, affordable access to millions of songs."

These new iriver MP3 players may pose some serious competition to the iPod Shuffle. Features include a color screen (on the T10), a well designed interface, OGG support, and the ability to use subscription based music services. The only shortcoming I can see is the lack of support for flash memory cards (such as SD). Frankly, 1 GB is just not enough memory. Ideally 2.5 GB should be the minimum for devices like this.
