The State of HDTV Broadcasts in Europe

"Television started off as a magical blurry image. Then came the sharpness, the colour and the widescreen format. Now the TV set is taking another leap forward into a crystal clear future, although those in Europe will have to be patient."

Seems like we on the Old Continent will have to wait until 2010 for HDTV broadcasts to become standard! 8O It means that we are way, way behind Japan and Northern America on that front. However, we will luckily start to see HDTV broadcasts "already" next year from the World Cup in Germany.
