LocationFreeTV from Sony

"This is the latest wireless TV by Sony. So what does it has to offer? It accepts 3 wireless protocols (IEEE 802.11a/b/g) and 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX, a 7v TFT LCD screen, the access point can read DVDs and has a HDD, you can read your emails and listen to the radio, ... It's also designed for people who travel a lot, because you can take the screen with you anywhere you go and watch Japanese TV all over the world by hooking up to the Internet with the access point that stays in Japan and streams TV, radio and your emails to you."

The screen weighs 555 g and the station 550 g which makes the whole thing-of-a-jig weight just above 1 kg / 2.2 pounds. 8O It is supposed to be out on the 10th of March in Japan, with no price mentioned yet. Now, why would anyone like to drag around even more weight like the LocationFreeTV? Couldn't Sony just put their TV to stream to a PDA (or PC), instead of a two pieced device that isn't exactly suited for travel -- at least in my opinion. :?
