Shure E4c In-canal Earphones

"In a few months, Shure will have a new in-ear canalphone available, the e4c. This model will be priced at $ 299 MSRP, between the e3c ($ 179) and the e5 ($ 499), putting it at about the same price level as the Etymotic ER4 series - a tough act to match. I had a chance test drive the E4, briefly, and they appear to have more bass and punch that I recall with the E3c, or the Etymotics. But like the E3c, the high end detail wasn't as clear as I'd like, as clear as you get with Etymotics. Of course, listening conditions were less than perfect (noisy environment; thier source) so it's much too early to make any judgement."
Boy, that is a lot of money to spend on earbuds, especially if they aren't "perfect".
