"We've been fans of the home theater PC over the years, though the reasons for having one are less compelling than in the past. As consumer electronics devices have added new technology, dedicated de-interlacing circuitry, and HDTV support, the home theater PC has become something of an overly complex curiosity. Jason Cross reviewed the original AOpen XC Cube about a year ago, so we won't dive into performance details or core features. The new EA65-II, aka the XC Cube AV, has essentially the same internals as the original: Intel 865G chipset, compact motherboard with one PCI and one AGP slot, and the same sideways-mounted heat sink. The new shoebox-shaped unit, however, is black, with the addition of front-panel A/V controls."

Wow, I like the look. I'm still thinking the "pizza box" will be the better fit for home theater systems, but this is better than the workstation form.
