Gateway Introduces Two Media Center PC's

"Taking a two-prong approach, Gateway today announced both low end and midrange media center PC's. Both run Windows MCE, and both are reasonable base units that can be customized online during the ordering process. ... The 7200S comes with a dual-layer DVD writer, another relatively new piece of technology that should last for years without needing an upgrade. Finally, a 17" monitor should be adequate for most uses. The only real lack evident in the 7200S is the lack of HDTV support"
In addition to the 7200S, which is quite upgradeable, Gateway also introduced the 3250X, which is a more entry level unit. It starts at $799 without a TV Tuner and $899 with a tuner.
