"Compton, Calif.-based peripheral maker Belkin Corp. recently introduced the TuneBase FM for the iPod mini, a device that enables users of Apple Computer Inc.'s iPod mini portable music player to power, charge and play the contents of their devices simultaneously while in their automobiles. The TuneBase FM works from any cigarette lighter outlet and features a flexible steel neck and swivel cradle. It's an integrated FM transmitter that lets you listen to the iPod mini's music from your car's FM radio -- a backlit LCD shows you what station you're tuned to."

The TuneBase FM will begin shipping on Nov. 22 for about $79.99 and will be able to operate on FM channels from 88.1 to 107.9 MHz. It also has the ability to save up to four preset stations and a 3.5mm audio output also allows you to use a cassette adapter or audio cable.
