"The Digital Photo Copy Cruiser Plus is an indispensable tool for those digital photographers who don't want to carry a notebook computer in the field. The advantage to this device is it frees you up to shoot as many photographs as you want to in a single photo shoot without having to worry about the limitations of your memory cards. Plus, you have an instant archive of your photographs for manipulation on a computer at a later time. Because the Digital Photo Copy Cruiser Plus is built around a CD-R/DVD player, all the functionality of this type of device is built in. Alera has added several features to enable you to use it in other settings and situations, such as corporate and presentation type settings. The beauty of this device is its portability, and the fact that it obviates the need to lug around a notebook computer when in the field. Is it worth the price? If you want to carry around less weight, and want to save on the expense of continually having to buy memory cards, the Digital Photo Copy Cruiser Plus is absolutely worth the cost of entry."

Being able to archive to CD in the field seems like a great feature. Even if you don't have your laptop you can copy photos off of your flash media freeing up more space. 8)
