"Opera has just announced the release of new Internet browser specifically designed to work on standard television sets. The new TV rendering technology, which they call TVR, essentially shrinks down images and resizes text for optimal readability. Jon S. von Tetzchner, chief executive and co-founder of Opera, said "With TVR, the broadcasting industry can finally incorporate the full Web into TVs and set-top boxes. After all, if you would go to a store today and choose between a TV set that offered Web and TV or one that just had TV, which one would you choose?""

There isn't very much more information on this that I could find, however feel free to read their press release.
