Digital Home Thoughts: DLP TV, Here I Come!

Well, I finally took the plunge - I ordered a DLP TV. Some of you will remember earlier this year I ordered a 56" Samsung DLP, then cancelled the order the next day, because that generation of TVs had some issues and a new one was just around the corner. Well, little did I know that it takes 6+ months for Samsung to release the same models in Canada that they have in the US. Then, when I finally thought my wait was over, I was told that the particular model I wanted (a 3rd generation 56" thin-bezel Tantus DLP) was never going to come to Canada. Augh! 8O

I looked around at a few other choices - a Toshiba DLP, a Hitachi LCD TV, and a few others...but the Samsung kept drawing me back. So even though regular TV looks like crap on it, and even though most things I see on the screen make me think I'm watching a low bit rate video streaming off the Internet, I ordered it anyway. The signal quality will catch up eventually, and then it will be a REALLY good TV. 8)
