"Griffin Technology Inc., innovator of exciting hardware and software products for the Mac and PC, today announced it has begun shipping the much-anticipated radioSHARK, a desktop AM-FM Radio with time-shift recording capabilities. Compatible with both Mac and PC computers, radioSHARK allows users to listen to and record their favorite AM or FM radio broadcasts. The radioSHARK allows the recording of scheduled radio events or as a way of ‘pausing’ live radio. This gives the listener the ability to return where they left off minutes, or even hours later. The radioSHARK sells for $69.99 and is now shipping. It is available for sale at http://griffintechnology.com and the Apple Store."

Now this is something much more useful than Griffin's recent $20 iPod flashlight accessory. Listening to AM/FM radio on my PC/Mac doesn't appeal to me, but the ability to record shows does. This would give iPod users the ability to carry their favorite shows, like Howard Stern, on the go. Sort of like a Tivo for radio.
