"Unless you've been living under a rock (and probably even if you have), you're aware of the recent release of Doom 3. After some four years in development, calling the latest technological tour-de-force from id Software "highly anticipated" is sort of like saying Michael Moore probably likes to eat. Game play quality, however, is open to debate. Our Doom 3 review, courtesy of 1UP.com and Computer Gaming World, is extremely positive. Others find the game much like id Software's past history – a decent if uninspired game built on a fantastic new engine. What nobody is debating is the quality of John Carmack's new graphics technology."

Here is a nice review of graphical quality you will get when you either use an nVidia card vs. an ATI card (several generations have been analyzed). Personally, I have played the game with an ATI Radeon 9800 and will be doing so again when my GeForce 6800 Ultra arrives. Of course, with my 9800, and with all the settings on Low Detail, the game still blew me away in terms of quality. (Now if only it had a better story line ;-))
