Tivo gets FCC approval for Video Sharing

"Despite numerous complaints from the content lobby, the Federal Communications Commission today approved TiVo's planned TiVoToGo mobile content system. The new service will allow TiVo users to send videos to up to 10 other users who also have digital keys for viewing content. The initial rollout is aimed at allowing TiVo users to send content to their own computers and possibly even remote devices, but plans are in the works for ways to send content outside of the home, as well. "

It is no surprise that the NFL is at the head of the line to complain about this feature. Those damn blackout rules are just so out of date. I can also guess that those of us with DirecTV DVRs won't be able to get this feature. :(
