Move over, iPhoto and Picasa! Microsoft is working on new digital photo archiving technology called "Triage" which organizes photos in clusters using metadata. But the really interesting aspect to this software is how it renders and manipulates image thumbnails. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean. Triage even helps transfer images to various types of devices like digital picture frames and Pocket PC handhelds.
The promise this technology delivers will mean easier photo management for the masses. Particularly for consumers who aren't very tech savvy. Very cool stuff! 8O
