"A photo industry group says Kodak film sales are dropping even faster than the company has anticipated. The report was contained in a story in the Wall Street Journal. The news isn’t good for Kodak’s single use camera line. Single use cameras have been the one bright spot for Kodak as film sales declined because of the growing popularity of digital. But now new camera phones threaten to take the place of disposable cameras."

This should not really be very surprising news given the immense popularity of digital cameras, cell phones and camera phones. I think the thing that will complete the demise of the disposable cameras will higher megapixel camera phones. Although, I am also a bit surprised that we are not seeing more in terms of disposable digital cameras. There was some buzz about them a few months ago but I haven't heard much in that area recently. This article also correctly points out that one of the drawbacks of camera phones is the fact that they can typically hold one a few digital images at a given time, but I am sure that as time goes on, the built in memory capacity of cell phones will rise as well.
