"iRiver announced [last week] the H300 series portable photo and music player to the Japanese market. The H300 will be available in a 20GB H320 and 40GB H340 versions with USB 2.0 connectivity. This device separates itself from many other mass storage devices on the market, iRiver added USB On-The-Go, or USB OTG. This allows USB 2.0 peripherals to connect directly to the H300 device and download any files or images to it, this eliminates any special adapter cards and it will not display RAW type files. Both products will be introduced to Asia. The H320 will retail for about $425 USD, and the H340 for $550 USD however no date is set for a North American release."

As with their iHP series, the H300 series will come with an FM tuner, and be able to support MP3, WMA, ASF, Ogg Vorbis, file formats. But it can now also do JPEG and BMP files. The USB 2.0 and ID3 tag support make it just sweeter. Plus that 16 hour battery life is unrivaled as far as I know. I love my iHP 140, but I wish they had an exchange program so I could upgrade to the H340. I called iRiver up to see when they would be releasing this in the US, but apparently there is no word on this.
