iRiver America Introduces Sleek Flash-Memory Music Players

"iRiver, the emerging leader in digital entertainment, announced the unveiling of its iFP-700 and iFP-800 series flash-memory music players. As the latest addition to iRiver's successful line of award-winning portable audio devices, the new flash-based music players combine a sleek, sport-ready design with many advanced features such as USB 2.0, integrated voice recorder, programmable FM recorder, up to 1GB of internal memory and the ability to record MP3s on the fly from any source."



The iFP-700 and iFP-800 series are available in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB sizes and give a whopping 40 hours of music playback on a single AA battery. Both series come with sport armbands, neck straps, carrying cases and line-in encoding cables. They are capable of playing MP3, OGG, ASF, WMA and WMA-DRM music files and are compatible with online music services that use Windows Media DRM technology. These music players support USB 2.0 and have a programmable FM recorder, which allows users to schedule MP3 recordings of their favorite radio program. The devices are available now and pricing starts from $129.99 for the 128MB units.
