Is iRiver Targeting Apple?

Jonathan Sasse, the president and CEO of iRiver America was recently interviewed by TechNewsWorld, and the transcript certainly is an interesting read. I get the feeling that he is quite comfortable with where he finds iRiver in the digital media industry. He basically says that "Steve Jobs’ decision to focus solely on music is creating a huge opportunity for iRiver, Samsung, Creative and others to see who can dominate the portable media game and be the first to come out with THE industry-defining personal video player." He also addresses issues about online music stores, mobile phones & PDAs, and general non-PC technologies.
