"At next week's NAB2004 convention in Las Vegas, Canopus Corporation (booth #SL5805) will unveil Imaginate 2.0, the newest version of its acclaimed still-image animation software that gives documentary filmmakers, broadcasters, as well as corporate and event videographers, the freedom and flexibility to bring new dimensions to their productions by transforming their still images and photographs into movies. Designed to increase productivity, new features in Imaginate 2.0 include a Storyboard editing mode with multiple image support, soundtrack capabilities and a collection of smart productivity tools that make the set up and configuration of projects easy and straightforward."

There's some great information about Imaginate 2.0 at the Canopus Web site. Has anyone tried this software before? It looks like PhotoStory on steroids! I really enjoy using PhotoStory, but it's of course very limited and requires workarounds to get a good end result. The sample page shows some of the very cool things that can be done with Imaginate 2.0, although the price of $199 USD makes it more of a professional tool rather than a consumer one. Still, this looks like a killer product for us Ken Burns wannabes. ;-)
