"JVC Professional Europe has released its new 16 channel, VR-716E DVR (Digital Video Recorder). The JVC VR-716E is a DVR surveillance product enabling organisations to record direct to hard disk. The VR-716E Digital Video Recorder records high quality pictures at a speed of 25 frames per second for all 16 inputs (400 Fps) in MPEG2 compression onto two 120GB Hard disks. Recorded images can be searched for and found instantly in different search modes such as time, date and event or alarm list."

So you would think, 'hey, I can now tape 16 different channels on cable' :), i.e. become Couch Potato Extreme ;-), but this device has been designed more for security surveillance with flexible options for recording, storing and managing security and surveillance images with no maintenance requirements. Cool!
