"Sears, Roebuck and Co. will remove PCs and film cameras from its store shelves to make room for TVs, DVDs and other consumer electronics devices. The retailing giant, which has carried computers from Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, Dell, Sony and others at various times, is winding down PC sales, after results failed to meet expectations. The extra shelf space will be dedicated to TVs, DVD players and digital imaging products like [photo] cameras."

Apparently the change in their line-up will be made as of Q3 this year. I wonder whether this is the beginning of a trend, more so for film cameras than for PCs. Although, more and more large computer manufacturers (like Dell, HP and Sony) are encouraging customers to buy their PCs online, so stores, like Sears, may just be responding to a downturn in sales.
