Win a Voodoo Envy 133, or One of Three Lenovo IdeaPad S10s

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Digital Home Events" @ 03:00 PM

http://www.notebooks.com/color_survey/

"We're giving away one Voodoo Envy 133 and three IdeaPad S10s in a drawing that kicks off today. Here's you chance to win the world's an Envy 133, which is the world's thinnest notebook. The IdeaPad S10 is Lenovo's entry into the ‘netbook' and one of my favorite affordable notebooks. Earlier this year we gave away an HP HDX worth over $5,000 and it's really exciting to be giving away some more hot notebooks."

The Voodoo Envy 133 is one sexy-looking notebook - when I look to replace my Dell XPS M1330 (probably in late 2009), I'll be looking at the Voodoo Envy line. Xavier from Notebooks.com has a great contest going on where filling out a survey is all you need to do to be eligible for the random drawing. Unfortunately it's limited to residents of the United States only. If one of you win this, just send it up to me, ok? Thanks. ;-)

Lenovo Ideapad

Posted by Chris Gohlke in "Digital Home Hardware & Accessories" @ 02:00 AM

http://www.hothardware.com/News/Len...ad_S10_Netbook/

"Lenovo has just announced a new line-up of IdeaPad S10 netbooks built around Intel's Atom CPU. Like many of the other members of Lenovo's IdeaPad product family, the S10 netbooks are available in a variety of colors and in a few different configurations."

Lenovo is the latest to jump on the Eee form factor bandwagon. I know a few people who are in love with the trackpoint that will be very disappointed to see that Lenovo appears to be leaving them out on this model.

Lenovo Packs Big Horsepower into a Small Package

Posted by Chris Gohlke in "Digital Home Hardware & Accessories" @ 05:00 PM

http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/28/...-u110-revealed/

"Get ready, ultraportable fans -- here's the dirty details you've been demanding. Lenovo's IdeaPad U110, which becomes available in the US tomorrow in black and red -- is all set to start at $1,899 directly from Lenovo. Wondering what that'll net you? Here goes: Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 CPU (1.6GHz, 4MB, 800MHz), Windows Vista Home Premium, 11.1-inch widescreen WXGA (1,366 x 768) LED-backlit panel, Intel's GMA X3100 graphics set, 120GB 4,200RPM hard drive, 2GB of RAM, dual-layer DVD writer (external), 1.3-megapixel camera, 10/100 Ethernet, WiFi and optional Bluetooth, 2.4-pounds with 4-cell battery, and Dimensions: 10.8- x 7.7- x 0.72- through 0.88-inches."

If you love the ultraportables, but need the horsepower and are willing to shell out the cash, this is a pretty nice package. I'll be curious to see what kind of battery life they can get for this little gem.
